Welcome to 2010!!

Please consider donating to Relay for Life to help beat cancer!

I will be walking in the Norridge Relay for Life, August 12th, 2011, this year. I am on Team Geek. We could use donations or, if you want to join us, more team members! You need to help us fundraise and be willing to stay up all night with us and walk the track (though if you can't make the Relay but want to join & fundraise anyway that's great too). We'll have cookies!!

I don't know how much I'll be keeping up my journal, between work (I work as a cataloger at the Naperville Public Library and am in seventh heaven!), school, and everything else going on. I'm gonna be busy.

I'm also on staff for Anime Central for the third year in a row, working in the Special Needs and Compliance department, come say hi to Team Awesome!

Check out the Con Anti-Harassment Project, trying to make sure conventions are safe:

I wrote "Kiss Her Goodbye" in the second round of TARDIS Big Bang.

Animated Tenth Doctor theme is thanks to tryingtorevive and available here.

Animated John Barrowman theme is thanks to sparking_off, available here.

Many thanks also to the tutorial by crackified, it really helped!!

About me? Well I'm a 31-year old lifelong science fiction geek who loves to read voraciously, write when the muse hits me, craft like there's no tomorrow, cosplay any chance I get and currently is beyond obsessed with Doctor Who! I have a BA in Mass Media & Theatre, and am working on a Master's in Library and Information Science (concentration in Technical Services). I spend far too much time online, and when I'm not planted at the computer I'm likely knitting, sewing a costume, walking around Chicagoland in a costume, hanging out in the Edgewater neighborhood with my friends, or spending time with my awesome boyfriend rengeek.

I also spend some of my spare time working with A Reasonable Facsimile Theatre Company.

My Amazon.com Wish List

I'm on Facebook and MySpace but please let me know you're from LJ (and your LJ name), I turn down friend requests from people I don't know.

You can also find me at the Anime Central Forums or Ravelry or Twitter when I'm not here! (I'm KnitChick or KnitChick1979 almost everywhere)

I occasionally visit the Torchwood Writer's Union board and Deviant Art as well. I have an account at Cosplay.com but I'm way behind on updating that profile. :)
(you can add me on MySpace if you want but honestly I haven't logged in there in like six months and I'm thinking of deleting it)

Also, visit my Torchwood fanfics at Teaspoon!
